Rimsky-Korsakov


Born: March 18th, 1844... He was born in a small town near Novgorad Russia.
Piano Lessons: His piano lessons began at 6 and his parents noticed his wonderful ear that was making his music highly improve.
1st attemt at a job: when he was 12 he joined a school at st.petersburg to become a mariner.
Becoming a Composer: His music teacher, Mili Balikerev, told him he was such a wonderful student and desered to composed his oun work. By his last year of school to become a Mariner he was composing a sympothy and it was his dream to become a composer.
Last step in becoming a Mariner: His mother and brother convinced him that a job as a composer would not insure him a good a life and prophet as a mariner so in 1862 he set off for his round the world trip.
Father's Death: During that some year his father died. He died during the month of March.
The long trip: This trip lasted about 2 Years and 8 Months! During these long Months his interest i music died and and he no longer thaght it was a part of his life.
His life back in Russia: When he got back to Russia in May of 1865 he began to work for the Coast service in St. Petersburg.
The way back to music: When he was working he saw his old friends and told them about his intension of joining the naval acadamy but they forced him to finish his symphony whis was first performed on December 19th. The conductor was Mili, his old music teacher.
Beginning a total Career: Finally Rimsky-Korsakov decided that his music was more important and totally quit the naval acadamy.
Death: He died in his own Country Seat when he was sixty-four. The date was June 21, 1908.
